Hancock is always right there, humble and essential. Mobley brings in the hard bop tradition with a heavy touch of contemporary taste. Lee Morgan is already in the future and his trumpet is subtle and pop, matching smoothly with Donald Byrd's.
Cherries, ripe red fruits, and tobacco: Mobley's tenor sax color is everywhere in the first grooves while my stylus happily digs in at 33rpm speed. Tannins are certainly there, but a persistent velvet curtain makes them a pleasant presence. It's a full-body, perfectly balanced, and well-structured with a licorice note, yet exciting and capable to deliver unpredictable twists.

Livia Fontana Barolo Riserva Bussia 2012 it's a great classic Barolo, yet an entertainer with hidden gems and solos, it's tradition and newness together.

Certainly, there's no room for squares!
